Parks4All – Strengthening Cultural Cooperation and Capacities between Serbia and Hungary through Innovative Projects in Public Green SpacesThe Parks4All project is currently in an advanced stage of implementation, following the successful completion of all activities planned for 2024 and 2025. These include the promotional event, the full Event Lab educational program, a study visit to Novi Sad, two artist residencies - one in Orom and one in Novi Sad - as well as the Parks4All festival in Orom. Through these activities, a strong foundation has been established for the next phases of the project and for the further development of international cultural cooperation between Serbia and Hungary. The Parks4All project is implemented within the Interreg VI-A IPA Hungary–Serbia Programme and aims to enhance cultural cooperation between Serbia and Hungary while promoting sustainable tourism in public green spaces. The project has a duration of 24 months and involves 36 young cultural managers and artists, with a particular focus on participants from vulnerable groups, through a series of 19 innovative and inclusive educational, networking, and cultural events held in public green areas.
The goal of the project is to directly empower and train
20 young cultural managers and 16 artists from Serbia and Hungary to create innovative public cultural events in public green spaces through four training programs and two study visits, while also enabling them to organize four innovative festivals.
The project includes four artist residencies in Serbia and Hungary, intended for young artists working with nature-related artistic practices such as land art, bio art, bio music, installations, gastronomy, and contemporary circus, among others.
The outcomes of these residencies will be integrated into the festivals, further contributing to their innovative and inclusive character.
The final outcome of the project will be the organization of four innovative, multidisciplinary festivals in cross-border towns and cities, attracting approximately 50,000 visitors. The festivals will reflect the principles of inclusion, innovation, sustainability, and environmental protection. A final conference and the publication “A Handbook for Organizing Events in Public Green Spaces” will present the project results and introduce new approaches to innovative and sustainable cultural cooperation.
The project is divided into two phases. The first phase includes participant selection (two promotional events), education (four training programs), and preparation activities (two study visits and four artist residencies). The second phase focuses on the implementation of four festivals and one conference. The outcome of the first phase is the establishment of a network of young cultural managers and artists from Serbia and Hungary who will jointly create the four festivals.
The festivals will feature contemporary artworks, film screenings, concerts, gastronomic tastings, workshops, and family-oriented activities, reflecting cultural exchange between the two countries. The final two-day conference will be held in Serbia and will present best practices and challenges in developing a sustainable cultural tourism offer for the region.
The project began in March 2025 with educational activities, including the Event Lab modules, a series of training sessions held in four cities covering topics such as event management, artistic programming, communication, and marketing. In addition, a two-day promotional event was held in Novi Sad in March 2025, combining music and film to present the project’s vision. The event featured a concert by the band GIFT and screenings of two documentary films exploring the role of music in social change.
In August 2025, as part of the project, the first artist residency was implemented within the Malomfesztivál festival in Orom. The thematic focus of the residency was protest, aiming to encourage artists to explore and document non-violent movements that promote human rights and shared values. The residency provided space for expressions stronger than words, with the potential to inspire real social change, contributing to the inclusive and innovative nature of the project.
From 15 to 29 October 2025, an artist residency was held in Novi Sad, focusing on the creation of artworks that activate and reinterpret public green spaces. Artists were given the freedom to explore diverse forms of expression - from visual arts, land art, and installations to performance, film, bio-art, gastronomy, and contemporary circus. The residency offered a platform for artistic research that inspired audiences, encouraged interaction with public space, and had the potential to initiate new creative and social narratives in the public realm.
Through all these activities, Parks4All aims to strengthen cultural ties between Serbia and Hungary while promoting environmentally responsible approaches to event organization and cultural production, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of cultural tourism in both regions.
This project will significantly enhance the cultural and tourism offer of the region, creating new opportunities for young artists and cultural managers, as well as for the wider community, which will participate in innovative and inclusive cultural events.

Rezultati ovih rezidencija biće povezani sa festivalima i time će doprineti njihovom inovativnom i inkluzivnom karakteru.
Krajnji rezultat aktivnosti biće organizovanje 4 inovativna, multidisciplinarna festivala u pograničnim gradovima i mestima, koji će privući oko 50.000 ljudi. Festivali će reflektovati principe inkluzije, inovacije, održivosti i zaštite životne sredine. Završna konferencija i „Priručnik za organizaciju događaja na javnim, zelenim površinama“ predstaviće rezultate projekta i nove načine inovativne i održive kulturne saradnje.
Projekat je podeljen u dve faze: prva faza uključuje selekciju učesnika (2 promotivna događaja), edukaciju (4 treninga) i pripremu (2 studijska putovanja i 4 umetničke rezidencije), dok druga faza obuhvata implementaciju 4 festivala i jedne konferencije. Rezultat prve faze biće formiranje mreže mladih menadžera i umetnika iz Srbije i Mađarske, koji će kreirati 4 festivala.
Festivali će uključivati savremena umetnička dela, filmske projekcije, koncerte, gastronomske degustacije, radionice i porodične aktivnosti, reflektujući kulturnu razmenu između dve zemlje.
